SMO offers FREE services to support single parents. Join SMO at no cost and quickly connect with people and programs that can help with:

- Workshops and classes
- Job finding assistance
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Any resident of the greater Santa Clarita Valley with at least one child under the age of 18 are welcome! We will not discriminate based upon disability, religion, race, color, national origin, gender, age, or sexual orientation.
HOW WE CAN HELP
One-on-one case management is provided to all single parents entering the program to determine your needs and assist in providing community resources, workshops, classes and other helpful information especially tailored to you.
SINGLE PARENT RESOURCE GUIDE
The Single Parent Resource Guide contains helpful resources in a variety of areas: Childcare, food, clothing, legal, housing, financial assistance, etc. It is available online or you can pick one up in our office to take with you.
SMO SCV SUPPORT GROUP
An online support group for single parents who are members of Single Mothers Outreach. This support network helps parents connect, share resources, and encourage friendships.
CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS
Parents are invited to attend workshops promoted by Single Mothers Outreach, including but not limited to:
- Financial Peace University (English/Spanish)
- Zonta LifeForward workshops for women
- Computer program classes
- Recreational programs
- Financial Peace University*
- English: 9-week course
- Spanish: 6-week course
*Financial Peace University is taught by nationally syndicated radio talk show host and New York Times bestselling author Dave Ramsey and is offered several times each year.
This annual event helps SMO families by providing back-to-school supplies for students who are in need of such materials.
Mother’s Day Tea Event
An annual tea event celebrating the mothers of SMO. Enjoy teatime, raffles and awards to acknowledge our hardworking mothers.
Every year, many SMO families are selected by an outside organization to receive donated holiday gifts for the entire family to help celebrate the holiday season.
